ADMISI London Wheat Report: ICE Feed Wheat 18 August 2026

London Wheat Report

Green on the screen to end the day for a slow-to-get-going London wheat today as 558 lots passed through the exchange. Matif wheat once again lacked volume but also echoed London’s green theme.

New from the continent, it was reported today by farming association DBV that Germany’s 2026 grain harvest will fall 7% year-on-year to 41.9 mmt after an unusually dry spring and a record-breaking heatwave in June that ultimately damaged crops. The farming association stated that in both the southern and western parts of Germany, the lack of rain had led to poor yields and, in some cases, failures for certain crops. The report went on to mention yields of winter rapeseed will likely decrease by 20%. DBV estimated production at 3.3 mmt.

Across the pond, CBOT corn and soybeans rose for a third straight session throughout today as weather reports and crop data raised concerns about prospects for this year’s harvest yields in the U.S. Midwest. The ongoing Pro Farmer field tour is being closely watched after the U.S. Department of Agriculture cut its corn and soybean yield forecasts last week and following heavy rain that left some Midwest fields damp. Yesterday, the USDA also lowered their condition ratings for the nation’s corn and soybean crops in its weekly report, though the cut was in line with trade expectations.
