London Wheat Report

Similar stories this morning of late ‘’ – Chicago wheat prices rose on Monday, rebounding from losses late last week, with the market buoyed by concerns about crops in several key exporting countries including Russia and Ukraine..’’ I wonder how much legs this will have this time as we continue to see this storyline rearing its head.
Corn and beans were supported today after concerns over crop losses in Brazil’s flood-devastated Rio Grande do Sul. Excessive rains and heavy flooding have continued to constrain cargo movement at Rio Grande port, the country’s fourth largest for soybean exports and third largest for fertilizer imports.
Wheat markets were on fire today. Chicago seemed to find more support as the day went on, the overnight session was up 10 cents and at the time of writing 30 cents was the magic number in the green. This is the largest rally in over 10 months for a single day’s trading. Similar story on Matif where again, the support continued to grow throughout the day. Across the curve Matif closed around 10 Eur up.
London, like Matif and Chicago was well supported. Nov 24 was the only month to trade for just shy of 400 lots and traded in a £6.25 range between £214.90 and 221. London actually opened lower before increasing support throughout the day closed Nov at £221, £6.10 up.
