Mixed trade across the Ag. Space with no major price action to report. US wheat slightly lower with a firmer USD while the soybean complex was marginally firmer, likely a result of the proposed financial aid. The Trump administration is expected to announce additional details of their financial aid package for American farmers hurt by the current trade dispute with China. Reuters is reporting the cost of this program will likely fall between $10-15 bil.
Indonesia took another step towards launching biodiesel containing 50% palm-oil based biofuel (B50) by concluding laboratory tests, an energy ministry official said on Tuesday, as the country aims for implementation next year. Palm-oil based biodiesel is currently mandated at 40% blend (B40), but Indonesia wants to increase the level to reduce its reliance on imports of fossil fuels.
French wheat exporters will supply Morocco with two thirds of its soft wheat needs, or 3.5mmt in the 25/26 marketing year, says French grain industry group Intercereales. Moroccan traders attending an Intercereales conference in Casablanca see the French harvest as best positioned, given its availability and proximity to Moroccan ports compared with other origins such as the Black Sea region and Argentina. From June to September, Morocco imported 1.5mmt of soft wheat, including 996kt from France, 95kt from the US, 85kt from Russia and 63k from Lithuania FNCL data shows.
With the US Fed. Govt. shutdown there were no harvest or crop condition updates from the USDA.
